Why I Chose To Work From Home

When I resigned from work to become a virtual assistant, everybody rolled their eyes on me. "Virtual Assistant? What's that?" That was always the constant reply whenever I answered the question, "What's your new work going to be like?" or "Which company are you transferring to?"

Even my mother was very apprehensive about the decision I made. Luckily for me, I have a very supportive husband. But I cannot blame other people for raising their eyebrows when they found out about my new venture because this is a new thing for them. They've never heard of a virtual assistant except for Sirri.

Being able to work from home as a virtual assistant (click the link to know more about virtual assistant and how to work from home) gives me time freedom. That's why I chose this kind of work. Not only that, I feel the passion in the work that I do, I learn new things that I know I will be needing for my online business and yes, I earn enough. No, that the usual enough like being able to pay bills and then wait for the next pay check. I earn at the same time I am able to save. I think that counts for something.

I encourage other people especially friends to try working from home and reap the benefits. Not only for the material benefits like less transportation expenses, less food allowances, less money spent on not so important things (like Christmas exchange gifts, yes I enjoyed Christmas parties but hearing other people argue about gift prices is just horrible) but also for the immaterial things like being able to see eat with your children for breakfast, play with your children, take an afternoon nap, avoiding office gossip, and yes focus on your dream.

I wrote this article to inspire others to become a virtual assistant, to work from home, and be with your family. After all, isn't that's what's more important of all?
