If you ask me this, I'd tell you "No, it's not evil. It's neutral." In morality issues there are no such thing as 'neutral'. There is only right or wrong, good or evil-period. But when it comes to money, I'd say it again money is neutral.
Why? Because money has no feelings, it doesn't know itself. It has no heart so how can it be good or evil?

Money becomes good or evil depends on the purpose of the bearer.
If you give a gambler a bag of money what do you think he'll do with it?
If you give a good missionary a bag of money what do you think he'll do with it?
See my point? Money is not evil nor good. It is the bearer of money who decides the purpose of the money therefore it is man who is either good or bad.
